The third STAPLE – Independent Media Expo is tomorrow! STAPLE is a kick-ass event that brings together zinesters, indie comic book creators and producers of other types of fringe media for a one-day Expo.
In addition to a room full of comics, zines and art you probably didn’t know existed – this years STAPLE features special appearances by Dean Haspiel (Billy Dogma + lots of other comics), Brian Keene (The Rising + lots of other horror novels) and an independent Animation Panel. And it only costs $5.00!
The festivities kick off tonight with a meet-and-greet party at Austin Books and wraps up on Saturday Night with a Live Art Battle Royale at Club Deville. The Battle will pit Austin artists against rival artists from San Antonio. Alcohol will be consumed! Blood will be spilled!
