Cable access show spotlights Austin filmmakers

The second season of BETWEEN THE SCENES a public access show covering the Austin, Texas filmmaking community starts airing this Sunday night at 9 p.m. on Time/Warner and Grande Cable channel 10. The first episode spotlights local filmmakers Chris Eska (Doki Doki) and Aaron Allson (Deadbacks). Also featured is I Feel Your Pain, a short film by Arnie Reyes. The series will air on a weekly basis throughout the summer.

“Our goal this season is to cover a broad range of independent projects, show more films, and try to inform the community about resources available to filmmakers within the region,” said producer Eric Mauck.

If you don’t have cable and are curious about this series, segments from the first season are available on DVD at I Luv Video, Waterloo, The Movie Store and Vulcan Video (where it’s a free rental). Also, keep your eyes peeled for an upcoming episode which will feature a little movie near and dear to the Outsider’s heart.
