Austin art show

The third show at the Okay Mountain gallery opens this Saturday. The exhibit is entitled Active Disappearance.

This latest showing at the East Austin based gallery Okay Mountain will consist of work by four artists whose primary focus is photography. The work of Anna Krachey, Andy Mattern, Adam Schreiber, and Bryan De La Garza explores similar themes documenting spaces and individuals. The photos on display, captured in fleeting amounts of detail, convey a sense of dim awareness brought to life and held only in stillness. It may be an awareness of something missing. As with any structure, its respective purpose and the individuals associated with it, aspects are always moving or outliving each other in a state of active fluctuation.

Opening Reception: Saturday July 8th 7-11pm
Show on display: July 8th - July 29th
Gallery Hours: Wednesday 7-9pm and Saturday 12-5pm
